We are hugely concerned about recent events regarding the club’s financial future. It was only five weeks ago that supporters were advised that the club had been saved and administration was no longer a possibility.
With this positive news, fans and ICTST have rallied behind the club, providing volunteers to assist around the stadium, making it a better destination to visit on match days, and renovating the new Bar 94 in under two weeks.
It was therefore disappointing to read in the press that the club are now again considering administration, something the Supporter's Trust do not wish to see happen.
We thereby call on all major shareholders and former directors to set aside any differences and concerns to prevent the club falling into administration. In particular, we urge the former directors who have brought us to this point over the last few years to acknowledge the part they have played in allowing this situation to get to this stage and to step forward to avert this very real existential threat.
The impact of administration could be devastating for the club on and off the park. The livelihoods of loyal employees will be impacted, a large points deduction could effectively relegate the club to the lowest tier, and to an even more worrying extent the club's license to play in the SPFL could be at risk.
It is imperative that dialogue takes place before any final decisions are reached.
The Supporters Trust have always been available to assist the club where we can and will continue to do so.
